Tri-Cities Presale Condos

The Tri-Cities region, comprising Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, and Port Moody, functions as a primary residential growth zone northeast of Vancouver. Bounded by the Coast Mountains and the Fraser River, these municipalities are interconnected by the SkyTrain Millennium Line and West Coast Express. This transit infrastructure dictates development patterns, concentrating concrete highrises near stations while woodframe lowrises and townhomes populate the surrounding corridors. Together, the three cities provide a substantial volume of Metro Vancouver’s multi-family housing inventory, offering diverse presale options across varying densities.

Coquitlam

Coquitlam serves as the commercial and high-density residential core of the region. The Town Centre area features a concentration of concrete highrise towers surrounding Coquitlam Centre and Douglas College. Further north, the Burke Mountain neighbourhood creates inventory for detached homes and townhouses. The Evergreen Extension of the SkyTrain network runs through the city, providing rapid transit connections to Burnaby and Vancouver via stations at Lincoln, Coquitlam Central, and Lafarge Lake-Douglas.

Port Coquitlam

Located on the north bank of the Fraser River, Port Coquitlam features a mix of industrial land and residential neighbourhoods. The presale market focuses on woodframe lowrise buildings and townhomes, distinct from the highrise density found in neighbouring municipalities. The West Coast Express station provides commuter rail service during peak hours. The 25-kilometre Traboulay PoCo Trail encircles the city, connecting residents to local parks and the revitalized downtown area along Shaughnessy Street.

Port Moody

Port Moody is situated at the east end of Burrard Inlet. Development is concentrated in the Inlet Centre and Moody Centre areas, where the Official Community Plan permits mixed-use concrete highrises and lowrise condominiums. Two SkyTrain stations service the municipality. The area includes Rocky Point Park and a designated brewing district along Murray Street. Current planning emphasizes density within walking distance of these transit nodes and commercial villages like Suter Brook.
